Pastor Dave & Laura Price

Rev. Dave Price
Senior Pastor

Prior to coming to First Church, Pastor Dave served Lansing, First United Methodist Church and has served United Methodist churches in Joliet, Mokena, Lombard, Homewood, and Kirkland. Pastor Dave graduated from the University of Illinois (BA) and worked with the Navigators. He later joined Youth Leadership while earning his Master in Christian Education from Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN. It was while working towards his M.Div at North Park Theological Seminary, Chicago, that he reconnected with his Methodist roots. Thus, after completing his M.Div, he attended Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary to complete the denominational requirements for ordination. Still today, the United Methodist Church’s outreach commitment to the communities (and youth) motivates Pastor Dave to ministry. Pastor Dave enjoys golf, team sports, pickle ball, nature walks, dining with family and friends, good food, and music. He plays guitar, and dabbles at piano, trumpet, percussion instruments, and song writing. He also enjoys “jamming” with other musicians and performing, being active in two bands, Pastor Dave and the Trustees and Steal Rhythm. Dave and Laura met while at the U of I, and they married a week after she graduated. Together, they have an adult child, Sarah, who lives in Old Town, and a tail-waggling cocker spaniel, Samuel.
