Founded in 1834, even before Glen Ellyn was incorporated as a village, First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn has always been an important fixture in the community. We are committed to creating a vibrant, engaged, and open community of Christian disciples who transform our world through individual and congregational acts of compassion, prayer, and connection.​​

As followers of Jesus Christ and people of faith, we trust in God's redeeming work in Jesus to redeem us. This is God's gift to all, and it is our Good News to share. There is a place for you here, regardless of your life circumstances. God is with you and us. God's redeeming love is large and broad enough to include all people. Everyone, without exception, is welcome at First Church.
